Ryley Burkhart – Broome

A little bit about me: I am 24 years old and moved to Broome 2 years ago from America. I originally came here as an Au Pair and fell in love with Broome life! I now work at Kimberley Kids as an Early Childhood Educator.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:I start at Life and Soul shortly after I moved to Broome in July 2017. I have trained on and off over the last two years but since restarting early this year I have really committed myself to sticking with it and pushing myself to live a healthier lifestyle. Between coming to the gym daily and eating healthy I have lost almost 22kg since January.

My favourite area of the gym is:I love attending classes! I typically go to pump on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. CX on Tuesday/Thursday Boxing on Tuesdays and Tabata on Thursdays. I love that there are different classes every day so I never feel bored.

My favourite exercise is:I love the way that BODYPUMP makes my body feel and how much confidence I has given me. Seeing myself get stronger is really cool!

My favourite meal is:Any type of fruit! Especially pineapple or watermelon after a workout.

 Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:Training with Sue over the last 2 years has honestly been life changing. The personal connection she builds with each person in her classes is so special. We are all so lucky to have her pushing us and supporting us every day!

 What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:It was the first place I was able to meet people who really welcomed me in and made Broome feel like home. Moving to the other side of the world and not knowing anybody here was really difficult and walking into the gym every day and being greeted by people who know my name and ask me how I am made me feel like I was meant to be here.
