Michael Papaelias – Derby

A little bit about me:
I work as a special needs assistant at Derby District High School.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
8 months.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Water Fountain or TV.

My favourite exercise is:
Bench Presses.

My favourite meal is:
Chicken Parmigiana.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
Michael Jordan & Lionel Messi.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
Friendly environment, Fox Sports and the air con.


Frances Minchin – Karratha

A little bit about me:
I have lived in the Pilbara for 39 years. I am married and have two sons. I enjoy reading books and jogging.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
I have been with Life and Soul since it’s start.

My favourite area of the gym is:
The RPM/Spin room.

My favourite exercise is:
RPM.

My favourite meal is:
Salad with beetroot, egg, cheese, grated carrot.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
My sister.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
The enthusiasm of all the instructors, the uncanny knack of knowing the right time to “push” you or encourage you and the “mateship”.


Katie Arundel – Port Hedland

A little bit about me:
A year ago now, I picked up an 8 week old puppy and moved my life up to Hedland from Perth!

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
I joined when I moved to Hedland and never looked back! Love it here.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Definitely the squat rack! I could spend hours in there. Although you will probably see me on the stair master more often than not.

My favourite exercise is:
I do love a heavy squat, I’m a sucker for any ‘heavy’ weights really.

My favourite meal is:
I love all food, don’t mind a big steak or chicken parmy though!

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
I do love following Revie Jane on social media. She’s a business owner (her own gym), a mum and is the most humble, inspiring & real chick. She is goals.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
I love the atmosphere and the vibe here. I came to Hedland not knowing anyone and I now have friendships formed through Life and Soul. Karlee and all the staff here make you feel like the gym is your second home J


Nui Tong – Broome

A little bit about me:
I lived in Broome for the last 20 years, working with my husband family restaurant since I’ve been here.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
I have been training with Life and Soul for the last 4 years.

My favourite area of the gym is:
I enjoy the fitness room.

My favourite exercise is:
My favourite exercise would be Pump classes. I feel proud of myself.

My favourite meal is:
Chicken stirfry with vegetables.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
Sue Ford is my inspiration, she is one of my favourite instructors. I like to see people healthy and strong minded who never gives up.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
Every time I go to the gym it makes me feel great knowing that I have achieved a great start of the day.
