David Burt – Broome

Broome March MOM 2018A little bit about me:
In November 2006 I had a work place accident. I had to go through lots of rehab. That made me realise “I can do this” I am a big believer of self motivation.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
About 2 – 2 ½ years?? I go 2 mornings a week (Monday and Wednesday) and sometimes on Friday.

My favourite area of the gym is:
On the bike.

My favourite exercise is:
Working my arms and chest.

My favourite meal is:
Fish and steamed vegies (I have it 6 nights a week)

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
ME!! I want to be the best person I can be. It keeps me inspired.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
The staff, they are always welcoming friendly and always up for a chat. JODIE IS A SUPER STAR!!


Jodie Richardson – Derby

A little bit about me:
Artist, photographer, mother of 2.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
2 months.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Weights area  – I enjoy all of them.

My favourite exercise is:
Ab crunches with toe touch – because I get to lay down! Ha J

My favourite meal is:
Crispy skin-on salmon.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
My mother.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
I love monitoring my progress, how well I feel after and I love the people who work here because everyone is friendly, positive, and supportive. I have never once felt out of place or self conscious about my body. I feel empowered and I KNOW I can achieve my goals!


Troy Gibson Cooper – Karratha

A little bit about me:
I’m a family man. Scared of turning 40 next year so I thought I’d better get my A into G and get into the best shape I can.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
5 months.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Weights Room. But I’ve recently started F45 and I’m starting to think I’m addicted!

My favourite exercise is:
Not sit ups. Probably arm supersets.

My favourite meal is:
I love a good curry. Hotter the better.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
My wife, Katie, she’s the one who inspired me to get off the couch and get healthy and active. I just wish it didn’t take as long as it did to get into it. And my awesome PT P. chur bro.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
I’ve always been a very shy person so that was always a big reason not to get to a gym earlier. I’ve found the staff and all members I’ve had contact with so far to be so welcoming and really encouraging.


Taryn Broom – Port Hedland

A little bit about me:
I’ve only just moved to Port Hedland with my partner Morgan, I thoroughly enjoy all kinds of food and love all kinds of animals.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
I’ve been training at Life and Soul for 2 months..I think.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Probably the leg training area and the stair machine.

My favourite exercise is:
Probably donkey kicks on the cable machine.

My favourite meal is:
Butter chicken with rice and pappadums yum!

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
Probably my partner Morgan, he’s the one who’s encouraged me to get fit and healthy. He always has time for the gym even when working 12 hour days. He’s my champ.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
The flexibility of open 24 hours and all the inspirational words on the walls.
