Doug Reid – Port Hedland

A little bit about me:
32 and very happily married, currently in prep for Men’s physique with my first comp of the year coming up in October so still lots of hard work ahead.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
Since Life and Soul Port Hedland opened its doors.

My favourite area of the gym is:
The power racks and lifting platforms.

My favourite exercise is:
Deadlifts.

My favourite meal is:
Orange glazed pork belly with rice and bok choy with lots of chilli.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
Probably a split between my amazing wife, John Lenartowicz and Matt Jansen. All of them continuously show me that you need to work as hard as you possibly can to reach your goals and just because there may be something in the way of that, you have to find a way around it.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
It’s a great atmosphere in there and the staff and members are always happy to help out and have a chat when they can.


Naomi Flora – Derby

A little bit about me:
Lived in Derby for 8 years. Stay at home mum with 5 daughters.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
About 9 months.

My favourite area of the gym is:
The Creche (the only way I can consistently attend classes!)

My favourite exercise is:
NOT TABATA! Probably squats.

My favourite meal is:
Calamari

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
The Group classes.


Raelene Lee – Broome

A little bit about me:
My husband and I moved back to Broome with our 3 young children in 2015. We love the Kimberley and Broome – its beauty, climate and lifestyle. I am a pharmacist and am currently studying diabetes education.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
Since the beginning of 2016.

My favourite area of the gym is:
The group fitness and soul ride rooms!

My favourite exercise is:
I don’t have a particular favourite but I regularly attend Sprint, RPM, Body Pump and CX classes. I do wish I could attend Body Attack more often.

My favourite meal is:
I love crispy skin salmon with fresh vegetables.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
I cannot think of one particular person, but my fellow members of Life & Soul and my group fitness instructors are all inspiring.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
Everything! The facilities, the friendly and family orientated atmosphere, the staff and the motivating and encouraging group fitness instructors.
Life & Soul allows me to improve my fitness and general health, and to have the ‘me time’ that everyone needs.
