Congratulations to our Members of the month for May.

Konrad Williams – Karratha

A little bit about me:
I moved to Karratha in 2010 to dig holes and move dirt.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:

I think 2012, but consistency didn’t happen til late 2015.

My favourite area of the gym is:

No favourite area. I pick 1 or 2 muscle groups per session and mix it up each session throughout the gym.

My favourite exercise is:

Shoulder press, when my shoulders are working properly.

My favourite meal is:

KFC ultimate burger box, Large.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:

My Dad, lower mid 60’s and still hits the gym 4/5 times a week.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:

My way of switching off to the world and the positive ways it affects my mind and body. Also keeps me out of the pub, sometimes.


Tongia Iga – Derby

A little bit about me:
16 years old, student at Derby District High School. I really enjoy sport and casual exercises.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
7 months.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Ground and core work.

My favourite exercise is:

Abs workout.

My favourite meal is:
Pizza.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
Connor Murphy.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
Very friendly people and working out which gives me great results.



Roger Grohmann – Broome

A little bit about me:
Arrived in Broome in 1995 and still enjoy it. Married and love it.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:
Don’t remember, but I was much younger.

My favourite area of the gym is:
The group fitness room and the stretching-cooling down area (where actually the preparation for my next training session starts).

My favourite exercise is:

60 minutes of BODYATTACK (despite that I am in marathon training right now and have to leave after 50 minutes).

My favourite meal is:

Pasta or Pizza (and Chocolate).

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
That’s probably my first coach in athletics, 48 years ago. He showed us what cigarettes and alcohol do to the body. And my wife, she does not complain when I go to training.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
The staff is always friendly and helpful. The fitness instructors are strict and intense as they should be but inspiring.


Kelly Makin – Port Hedland

A little bit about me:
Originally from QLD, training for my first figure comp in 2018. Qualified PT. My husband is my trainer and motivator.

How long I have been training with Life & Soul:

A little over 2 months.

My favourite area of the gym is:
Weights section.

My favourite exercise is:

Lat pull downs and biceps

My favourite meal is:

Breakfast – Lemon water, eggs and avo.

Most inspirational person/athlete in my life is:
My husband Thomas – he is the one that got me to lift weights 7 years ago.

What I love most about training at Life & Soul is:
Is the beautiful people that work there! They are friendly and happy and very supportive.
